Monty Aidem / Frank Sinatra

MONTY AIDEM made a name for himself as a young TV comedy writer for stars including Johnny Carson, Bob Hope, Dean Martin. . .and Frank Sinatra.  Now Monty’s doing what he likes best, performing his popular lookalike and sound-alike tribute to the chairman of the board.  He’s been seen Caesars’ Palace, The Venetian, Planet Hollywood and many other Las Vegas locations, Hollywood’s Universal Studios, Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm, and across the U.S. in theaters, casinos and America’s top hotels and banquet facilities where he’s considered by many to do America’s most authentic re-creation of FRANK SINATRA.

SHORT HISTORY
While working as the writer on entertainer Vicki Lawrence’s Emmy-nominated talk show in 1997, Monty used to entertain the audience and staff, singing as Frank Sinatra.  It was there he decided to put an act together, and since then he’s entertained at hundreds of venues.
He was selected to provide Sinatra vocals for a TV special about the Frank Sinatra golf tournament, and he was chosen to entertain former Russian president Mikhail Gorbachev, who happens to be a Sinatra fan.  He continues to be in demand for his Sinatra tribute, along with the Rat Pack tribute he put together with America’s top Rat Pack Tribute performers.

Contact Tartan Talent for more information on having Monty Aidem perform at your event or venue.

“…a jazz seductress …whose swinging, self-assured style conjures up memories of a nightclub in times gone by. This vibrant, crystal-voices alto charms and disarms, all the while offering a touching vulnerability.”
-Michael Flynn/DAILY VARIETY
“Betsyann Faiella reminds me of the classic singers of the 40’s. She’s smooth, sassy, and her delightful wit is a like a secret smile behind every line she sings. Can I Be Frank? is a must for fans of great music and great singing.”
-Andrea Macovicci

About Can I Be Frank?
Recently, Betsyann was driving on the freeway in Los Angeles when she was moved to laughter and tears by a show on NPR about Frank Sinatra. At that moment she decided she would turn her lifelong adoration of Sinatra’s unparalleled artistry into a very feminine tribute. Can I Be Frank? was recorded in Los Angeles with a number of Sinatra’s sidemen and has a unique approach to familiar and some very unfamiliar territory.

“Very modern American female meets glamorous 1950s broad,” is one of Betsyann’s own description of this shimmering recording.
Betsyann, who is a New York native, got her start as a singer in front of the piano at the famous Empire Diner. She immediately moved on to a real stage at Reno Sweeney, and later s.n.a.f.u, where she fronted a theatrical rock band for late cabaret impresario and composer, Lewis Friedman. She has performed her one woman shows, “But I Was Cool” and “Deeper Than You Can Stand” to SRO crowds across the country.

Betsyann has worked with:
Hank Jones
Frank Wess
Benny Powell
Larry Hamm
Joe La Barbera

Stephanie Powers

ONE FROM THE HART

-Los Angeles Daily News
“But you want to know if Stefanie Powers can sing. She can indeed, and she sings for clarity as well as tone.”
-Detroit Free Press
“Powers exudes briskness, drive and sympathetic  warmth, and she sings with feeling and authority.”

The sound of jet engines fills the theatre…Runway lights dramatically strobe down an ink-black stage…Jennifer and Jonathan Hart’s private plane explodes onto a screen above the audience, leading us into the memorable opening sequence of the hit TV show “Hart to Hart”…And the opening moments of the exciting new theatrical experience, “ONE FROM THE HART.” So the elegant journey begins, and we are guided through a musical evening of love. With the aid of multimedia visual effects, Stefanie Powers tells stories of love through some of the greatest songs ever written on the subject with anecdotes of her own. This wildly entertaining evening is a voyage of style, fun, charm and surprises, as together we take a romantic holiday to a more sophisticated era when love songs were gorgeous and lyrics reigned supreme.

Stefanie Powers, star of TV, stage and films never consciously hid her impressive vocal talents, but she didn’t put them on display either while acting in 27 feature films, or while creating her signature characters in “The Girl from U.N.C.L.E” and ”Hart to Hart.”

No stranger to the musical theatre, Powers most recently appeared as the fairy godmother in Cinderella at the Mayflower Theatre in Southhampton and in The Vagina Monologues Off-Broadway. She starred as Anna in The King and I in England and on the U.S. national tour. She also recently released On The Same Page, a CD of the classic American songbook, with Paige Cavanaugh.
