The sound of jet engines fills the theatre…Runway lights dramatically strobe down an ink-black stage…Jennifer and Jonathan Hart’s private plane explodes onto a screen above the audience, leading us into the memorable opening sequence of the hit TV show “Hart to Hart”…And the opening moments of the exciting new theatrical experience, “ONE FROM THE HART.” So the elegant journey begins, and we are guided through a musical evening of love. With the aid of multimedia visual effects, Stefanie Powers tells stories of love through some of the greatest songs ever written on the subject with anecdotes of her own. This wildly entertaining evening is a voyage of style, fun, charm and surprises, as together we take a romantic holiday to a more sophisticated era when love songs were gorgeous and lyrics reigned supreme.
Stefanie Powers, star of TV, stage and films never consciously hid her impressive vocal talents, but she didn’t put them on display either while acting in 27 feature films, or while creating her signature characters in “The Girl from U.N.C.L.E” and ”Hart to Hart.”
No stranger to the musical theatre, Powers most recently appeared as the fairy godmother in Cinderella at the Mayflower Theatre in Southhampton and in The Vagina Monologues Off-Broadway. She starred as Anna in The King and I in England and on the U.S. national tour. She also recently released On The Same Page, a CD of the classic American songbook, with Paige Cavanaugh.
